We Moved House!

Hello everyone! I am writing to you from a new and exciting location. We have moved house and so have much more room and much more time to do the exciting things, like collect things, make things and take many more photographs!

We are still settling in, boxes everywhere and rooms in a state of flux but the computers are up and running and I have been busy doing bits and pieces and sorting the place.

Today I sent off a Folksy order so made these luggage tag "with compliments" slips to go in with my orders. Feedback seems to be such a staple of Ebay but people don't bother on marketplace sites and it is so important to us little businesses. So I add a little message under the rubber stamped bit and hope it makes a difference.

I love this little do it yourself rubber stamp kit, apart from the way the little rubber letters seem to have a mind of their own! I think I will be using it every chance I get!

New and Exciting!

Here is the first look at the necklaces I will be doing.

Luckily my motivation has returned after taking a Christmas/New Year hiatus and I have a new spring in my step!

I've been wanting to expand my product list for some time but just haven't been able to think how, but earlier this week someone used that wonderful phrase "ooo you could do that!" and here is the result! These first four necklaces are being sold in LoveOne in Ipswich but if they sell, and I get good feedback from here, facebook, flickr, twitter then I plan to make more. I do hope you like them!

In other exciting news we get the keys to our new house on Monday and the big move happens next weekend! Finally a place for all my vintage kitchenalia and a whole room devoted to making things! I am so excited! I will be taking photographs when we are all settled and all the bits and pieces are perfectly placed!

Illustrator Badges

New badges for Illustrators, pen lovers, doodlers, drawing addicts.

For weeks i've been trying to think of more arty/crafty pastimes that I can make badges for. We all love to show our love for all things makey and these badges seem to be a popular way to do it!

So after much doodling I came up with these pen badges to show your love for illustrating!

Any ideas for other nice badges are very welcome.

They are available here Cuppa Tea And Cake Folksy Shop

Attention Lovers!!

Valentine's Day is fast approaching so hopefully everyone is getting in a loving kinda mood.

Personally I am a fan of anything heart shaped, you can get cake pans in heart shapes in Lakeland. Mixing bowls in heart shapes in M&S and silicone bun cases too! And on a blog a few years ago I saw a heart shaped teacup, now THAT is what I am talking about! If anyone sees one please let me know.

So to celebrate your love for tea or for Valentine's, your Lover's love for tea, I have made Valentine's badges.

Some say "love a cuppa" on them and others say "come for tea, i love you" and they are all available in my folksy shop

WOW Sorry everyone!!

Sorry again! After making the last post all the way back in December BEFORE Christmas!!! I told myself I would get back to updating on a regular basis, well so much for that huh?!

Chris and I have been busy looking for houses! Me oh my has it been hard work! So many that look good on the pictures but when you see them in the flesh (or brick!) they just aren't all that! But finally we found it, the loveliest little house you ever could see! Hehe! And so we are now just waiting on our moving in date and excitedly collecting housewares and furniture.

The jug was a Christmas present from my landlady, I have coveted this jug for some months and I am now picturing it
in our new little house with a big bunch of flowers in!

So I treated myself to the matching tea towel from LoveOne! I mean we can't wash up the dishes without something to dry them with now can we?

I got excited about buying an iron the other day, how silly!

As soon as we move in I will be taking pictures of how we are making out little nest our own. But before then I have lots of things I want to show you all, just need to get some decent daylight to take some pictures.

Finally, we are now arranging the second I Make Fun Stuff Craft Market for Saturday 27th March at the Town Hall Galleries Ipswich. More in depth news soon. But if you are interested or know someone who is please go to www.imakefunstuff.co.uk

Happy Christmas Everyone!

Every year Chris and I make our Christmas wrapping paper. We started it two years ago when we used a rubber stamp to print gold stars on brown paper.

Last year we screen printed dark and light blue snowflakes onto brown paper and finished it off with silver and blue ribbon.

This year we couldn't let the tradition fall to the wayside, we had set a president and so we must carry on!

So yesterday afternoon we cut stencils, mixed print paste and cut up brown paper and off we went printing out Christmas tree wrapping paper. Doesn't it look great! We printed onto card for labels too and wrapped everything up with bows and ribbon.

The only sad thing is when you go to that much trouble and then it all gets torn off! Oh well, we love making the effort and love the results even more!

I Make Fun Stuff Craft Market Number One!

So the day finally arrived. I woke up at 5am having dreamt all night that no customers would turn up. We got to the venu with several eager sellers waiting for us when we arrived. Tables up and stalls being beautifully decorated didn't take long and it all looked amazing!

We'd been featured in our local newspaper twice the day before so we were super pleased about that. We had also contacted the radio stations and put posters up all over the place. It seemed to work. When all was done 700 visitors had been clocked in from 10-4!!

We had jewellery, bags, accessories, original artwork, ceramics, vintage clothing, contemporary clothing and homewares and it was all snapped up eagerly by customers escaping the cold day for sone unique retail therapy.

At the end of the day all our stallholders were happy and we'd had a very fun and successful day! I made twice as much as I had at any craft fair before! Chris and I were in complete awe that it had worked, we'd done it!

And stay tuned folks, because we're going to do it again! If you would like a stall next time or know someone who might please visit www.imakefunstuff.co.uk and let us know!
