Goodies

I have had some wonderful finds recently in my local charity shops and at the I Make Fun Stuff Craft Market.
This bright red leather holdall was from my dear friend Wendy Ashby who had a stall at the market selling off all the things she's collected over the years! Had I been paid I would've bought so much more from her! I also bought a cut glass necklace and two teacups and a saucer which are sitting on my mantlepiece making
our front room look very much like the 1940s.
I got the beryl green teacups in a local charity shop, they were quite a find as I bought a pint jug the same from my friend Cathy's shop LoveOne a few weeks before and had been looking at this style of crockery on ebay. I popped in the charity shop one lunch time and found 11 teacups and saucers, 5 side plates and 5 bowls! All for £4! What a bargain.
And finally i got the granny blanket looking lovely on our old trunk and the rectangular dish in the above picture yesterday, more charity shop finds! I am really enjoying trawling for vintage goodies lately.

Happy days!

I Make Fun Stuff Craft Market Number Two

TAKE TWO!!!

This second market was bigger and better than the one before!! We had 10 stall holders at the first market back in November and this time we had 27!

Check out our website I Make Fun Stuff for links to the sellers Just click on the link at the top marked "friends"

And what wonderful things they had to offer our customers and other stallholders! Everyone was set up and the first customers were the
stallholders themselves popping around to look at other people's wares!

We had a great day with lots of friendly faces coming to explore and spend their money and loads of faces we didn't know coming to the market for the first time and loving it!

We've had some great feedback on our facebook page and our twitter too. Check out the facebook page for loads more photos of each of the stalls and their gorgeous products.

We also had a fab DJ, Andy Mortimer who runs the Uprock club night here in Ipswich. It really made a great difference to the atmosphere. We hope all our sellers had a successful and enjoyable day and we look forward to seeing them again and dearly hope they will come back to us again for another market.

WOW Sorry everyone!!

Sorry again! After making the last post all the way back in December BEFORE Christmas!!! I told myself I would get back to updating on a regular basis, well so much for that huh?!

Chris and I have been busy looking for houses! Me oh my has it been hard work! So many that look good on the pictures but when you see them in the flesh (or brick!) they just aren't all that! But finally we found it, the loveliest little house you ever could see! Hehe! And so we are now just waiting on our moving in date and excitedly collecting housewares and furniture.

The jug was a Christmas present from my landlady, I have coveted this jug for some months and I am now picturing it
in our new little house with a big bunch of flowers in!

So I treated myself to the matching tea towel from LoveOne! I mean we can't wash up the dishes without something to dry them with now can we?

I got excited about buying an iron the other day, how silly!

As soon as we move in I will be taking pictures of how we are making out little nest our own. But before then I have lots of things I want to show you all, just need to get some decent daylight to take some pictures.

Finally, we are now arranging the second I Make Fun Stuff Craft Market for Saturday 27th March at the Town Hall Galleries Ipswich. More in depth news soon. But if you are interested or know someone who is please go to www.imakefunstuff.co.uk

New things New things!!

Woo hoo!!! Look I have finally been able to take photos of the news bags I have been printing!
With not having the camera and a long succession of dull days I have been unable to take some decent photographs but finally a clear day has arrived and the camera is back with me.

So here, you are the first to see the new Autumn/Winter designs from CuppaTeaAndCake.

There are more to come but are still on the conveyor belt so there is still more excitement on the cards!

So as you can see there are several "Tea Cup" designs in different colours. I decided to order a few coloured bags as they looked so jolly exciting and I think they're rather lovely printed in gold.

For the crafty people out there as well as those obsessed with tea like me, is the new "knitter" bags which have come about due to the popularity of the knitter badges! They are available in big and little totes and in blue and pink. And they may even be available in more colours soon. Oooo!!!

There are only a few of those and currently, unless there is a massive demand before they won't be on sale until the I Make Fun Stuff Craft Market. Please let me know what you think, I really appreciate your feedback.

I can't get these images to align right on the page so it's just gonna have to be random!!

Autumn

I know not everyone shares my view but I LOVE Autumn. I love when it starts to get cold and you have to turn the heating on so it's all cosy and warm. I love that day when you just HAVE to light the fire in the sitting room.

I love how the tree outside my house is red at the top, to orange, to yellow to a few green leaves left at the bottom.

I love putting my scarf and hat on! YES!!! I love wearing my big coat. Not just because i love my big coat but because I can tuck up all warm in it.

And best of all, warm cosy beds with the quilt up to my chin and lovely comfy pyjamas!

In other news this week I have been busy making things for the I Make Fun Stuff Craft Market. I've been printing new bags and sewing up some bunting and making masses and masses of badges! I would LOVE to show you pictures of the new designs but someone has my camera and so I haven't been able to take any pics! I shall get it back tomorrow and hopefully it will be bright enough to get some decent images.

Look out for those, I do hope you like them! Until then I shall depart, off to do some drawing in my big cosy bed!!!

DotComGiftShop

Well everyone, I had a very exciting email yesterday! Dotcomgiftshop have reviewed this hear blog on their website in their own "Crafty Blogs We Love" section. How ruddy exciting is that?! That's the first time i've had a response like that to my little blog. More news there soon hopefully. Especially as its the kind of online shop that stocks lots of yummy vintage style things, polka dots, flowery and french style! I'm pining after one of the Victorian Parasols myself!

In other news I have been busy sending away internet orders (these are on the up aswell which is also very exciting!) and making loads of new badges to sell at the upcoming I Make Fun Stuff Craft Market. I have also started printing new tote bags for the same event. I am really enjoying printing my new designs. I bought an A3 screen for printing bigger designs and it is so darn cool. I wanted to show you pictures of the new stuff but since Autumn has set in all the good light in the evening has left. Luckily it's half term next week so I will be at home during the day and can take some shots.

Watch out for those, blog posts are much more exciting with images I know!
